What is TheFamily.com doing to fight the "War on Pornography"? 

 

TheFamily.com is focused on "Strengthening Families"!

 

As I ponder and pray for ways to battle the dark force of Pornography that is allowed to penetrate our homes and our children?s minds at such a young age, I actually get mad and very upset inside.  It isn?t fair that our innocent children should be exposed to this dark force.  What can we do?  Is it allowed?  We are told that there are opposites in all things.  So, I guess it is going to happen.  But, we don?t need to stand idly by and do nothing to stop it!.

 

What we do at TheFamily.com, is the OPPOSITE of pornography.  Via our web site, TheFamily.com, and other family valued sites, we take a "POSITIVE"approach and publish the GOOD.  Ever since my family and I got into the entertainment business and tried to get hit records, top TV shows, films, videos, and other media tools to share our talents . . . we would edit lyrics, innuendos, gestures, bad language and jokes from anything that we were asked to do in order to take a stand for the "Positive".  We were sometimes called square, goody-goodie, and told to "get with it".  But at least we could sleep at night.  We knew that if we didn't stand for something, we would fall for anything.  By taking a stand for the good, we were, and still are, labeled for it . . .and don?t really care.  Some music critics said to us, "There are no hymns in the top 10 music charts". We knew that, but we still made the changes as we felt was right and we still met out goals of having number 1 gold and platinum records, #1 TV shows, world wide concerts, and awards for our music videos. 

 

I remember the time that our record executive had us go into the recording studio with this fabulous music writer who found us a hit song.  Yes, it was great! . . . except for a line or two.  We were young and just getting started in the record business and did NOT want to offend this famous writer by refusing to sing his lyrics.  My Mother asked him if she could talk to him, alone, and explained our desire to keep our music clean and positive and to represent our family and our church properly.  The song writer was touched by my Mother's sincerity and told her, "If my Mama were here right now . . . she would slap my face!  Let's go in and change those lyrics".  He did! And, we released the record which turned out to be one of our gold records.

 

Maybe we can't stop all of the Pornography and Dark Forces in the world, but we can stand up against it and get behind the Positive Forces.  We all have great freedom and the Power to Choose!  We have a choice to say Yes, or NO!   We must say NO to Pornography and declare War on it! 

 

We at the Osmond Network invite all families everywhere to join us.   With over 80% of the population wanting to clamp down on Internet Pornography (Wirthlin Study) its time to mobilize and  organize those people into an "army" of 10+ million that will show legislators and judges just how serious citizens are about fighting this plague.   It's the RIGHT thing to do.  Pornography can never be erased from our children's minds.  Let's protect their innocence and act NOW!
